About Tim
President and Director of Historical Research and Preservation, Aviation Heritage Center of Kingman
A former business owner and operations manager in the telecommunications industry, Tim has decades of experience in dealing with day-to-day issues as well as strategic planning. During his spare time, he is a pilot, photographer and aviation historian.
From a very early age in Southern California, Tim grew up with a fascination with military aviation. Attending airshows, drawing airplanes, building model kits, aviation was never far away from his thoughts. As an adult and living in Las Vegas, Nevada he became a published aviation photographer and writer. His works appeared in various books and magazines and he also published a newsletter about the activities at Nellis AFB.
With his relocation to Kingman, Arizona Tim joined the local EAA chapter, earned his private pilots license and began building his first airplane. He has since owned several aircraft, one of these is a WWI Nieuwpoort replica which has been flown in airshows, reenactments, and a variety of other events.
More recently, Tim served for a decade as the President of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 765. During this time, he designed and hosted a number of aviation events such as the Kingman Air Fest, as well as flew hundreds of kids during the EAA Young Eagles Flight Rallies – more than any other pilot in the chapter.
Tim now wishes to bring many of these experiences and skills to the Aviation Heritage Center of Kingman. For Tim, the creation of a facility to honor Kingman’s past and educate the younger generations in such a unique way has deep meaning and has become the mission of a lifetime.
He wishes to bring this legacy project to the people of Kingman and share with the many visitors the Center expects to see for decades to come.
